1. Introduction

Welcome to WiMouse. Vikramshila Softwares ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy. Because WiMouse functions as a remote keyboard and mouse, we understand that privacy and security are your top priorities. This Privacy Policy explains our minimal data practices.

2. The Short Version (Zero Cloud Processing)

We do not collect, store, or transmit your keystrokes, mouse movements, or screen data to any external servers.

WiMouse operates entirely over your local area network (LAN/Wi-Fi). The connection is established directly between your mobile device (Android/iOS) and your computer (Windows/macOS). No input data ever leaves your room or travels across the broader internet.

The app is free and ad-supported, so the advertising SDK does communicate with Google's servers to fetch ads. That traffic is entirely separate from your remote-control session and never carries your input. See Advertising (Google AdMob) below for exactly what it collects.

3. App Permissions

To function correctly, the WiMouse mobile app and desktop server request the following permissions:

• Local Network / Wi-Fi State: Required to scan for and connect to your computer on the same network.
• Vibration / Haptics: Required to provide tactile feedback when you tap or click on the mobile trackpad.
• Prevent Device from Sleeping: (Optional) Used to keep the app active while you are actively controlling your PC.

4. Third-Party Analytics & Crash Reporting

To help us improve the app and fix bugs, we may use standard analytics tools (such as Google Analytics for Firebase or Microsoft App Center). These tools collect basic, anonymous telemetry data, which may include:

• Device models and operating system versions.
• Crash reports and error logs.
• Basic app usage statistics (e.g., how often the app is opened).

None of this data is tied to your personal identity, and it absolutely never includes the content of what you type or click.

5. Advertising (Google AdMob)

WiMouse is free to use and is supported by advertising. We use Google AdMob, an advertising service provided by Google LLC, to serve ads inside the mobile app. Ads are displayed only in the app interface — they are never injected into your computer, your remote session, or anything you type or click.

To serve and measure ads, Google AdMob and its partners may collect and process:

• Advertising identifiers: your Google Advertising ID (Android) or Identifier for Advertisers / IDFA (iOS).
• Device and network information: device model, operating system version, language, IP address and approximate (coarse, IP-derived) location.
• Ad interaction data: which ads were shown, viewed or tapped, and basic app usage signals used for frequency capping, fraud prevention and ad measurement.

This information is collected by Google under its own privacy policy, and we do not receive your advertising identifier or any personally identifiable data from it — only aggregate performance reports. You can read how Google uses this data here:

Your advertising choices

• Android: Settings → Google → Ads, where you can reset or delete your Advertising ID and opt out of ad personalization.
• iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, where you can withdraw App Tracking Transparency permission at any time.
• You may also opt out of personalized advertising across participating providers at youronlinechoices.com.

If you turn off ad personalization, you will still see ads, but they will be non-personalized and based only on general context rather than your interests.

Consent (EEA, UK and Switzerland)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the app will show you a consent message (via Google's User Messaging Platform) before any personalized ads are served, allowing you to accept or decline the use of your data for ad personalization. You can change your choice at any time from the app's Settings screen. Where consent is declined, only non-personalized ads are shown.

Residents of California and other U.S. states

We do not sell your personal information for money. Sharing advertising identifiers with Google for personalized advertising may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" under some state privacy laws. You can opt out at any time using the device settings listed above, or by contacting us at the address in the "Contact Us" section.

6. Children's Privacy

Our app does not knowingly collect any personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13. If you think that your child provided this kind of information, we strongly encourage you to contact us immediately and we will do our best efforts to promptly remove such information from our records.

7. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
