WiMouse requires two components to function: the desktop app on your computer that receives commands, and the remote app on your phone that sends them.
For zero-latency and maximum security, WiMouse routes traffic locally. Ensure your phone and PC or Mac are connected to the exact same Wi-Fi router or network.
Open WiMouse - Remote Mouse Desktop on your Windows PC or Mac. It will automatically start listening for your phone. It runs silently in the background — on Windows it can be accessed from the System Tray (bottom right), and on Mac from the menu bar.
Open the WiMouse Mobile app on your Android or iPhone. The app will auto-discover your PC or Mac. Simply tap on your computer's name in the list to establish a secure connection instantly.

Install the free WiMouse desktop app on your Windows PC or Mac, make sure both devices are on the same Wi-Fi network, then pick your computer from the device list, scan the QR code, or enter its IP address manually.
Confirm both devices are on the same Wi-Fi network (not a guest network), the desktop app is running, and your firewall is not blocking it. You can also connect manually by entering the IP address shown in the desktop app.
This is almost always a permissions issue on your computer.
On Mac
Open System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility and turn on the WiMouse desktop app (add it with the “+” button if it is not listed). On macOS the app cannot move the cursor or type until Accessibility access is granted. Quit and reopen the desktop app after enabling it.
On Windows
Make sure the WiMouse desktop app is allowed through Windows Defender Firewall (Private networks), and if it still does not respond, close it and run it again as Administrator. Some keys and system shortcuts require elevated permissions to be sent.
After changing any permission, restart the desktop app and reconnect from your phone.
Windows and macOS natively require a receiving app to interpret the commands coming from your phone (like moving the cursor or pressing a key). Our lightweight desktop app handles this seamlessly in the background.
Yes! WiMouse is fully available across the entire ecosystem. You can download the remote app for iOS and Android, and the desktop app for Windows and macOS.
Yes. WiMouse uses your local Wi-Fi network only, so it works even when your router has no internet connection — both devices just need to be on the same network.
Yes. WiMouse only works over your local Wi-Fi network. Your phone and computer agree on a key using X25519 key exchange the moment they meet, and every command after that is encrypted with AES-256 before it leaves the phone. You can also set a password on the desktop app so only devices that know it can pair. No input data is sent to external servers.
Keep your phone close to the router, avoid switching Wi-Fi networks, and make sure battery-saver mode is not killing the app in the background. Enabling Auto-connect in Settings helps reconnect automatically.
Open Settings in the mobile app and use the Mouse Sensitivity and Scroll Sensitivity sliders under the Sensitivity section to fine-tune how fast the pointer and scrolling respond.
Once connected, open the Keys tab to type on your computer, including modifier and function keys. The Transfer tab holds the clipboard: it shows what is currently on your computer’s clipboard, and lets you push text from your phone to it or pull it back the other way. The same tab also sends files from your phone to your computer.
Enable Voice Commands in Settings, then say your activation phrase followed by a command — for example, “Hey Nova, next slide”. Tap Voice Commands Guide in Settings to see every supported command.
Yes. The trackpad, keyboard, macros you build yourself, media and system controls, the presentation remote, app launcher, browser remote, file transfer, clipboard, air mouse and voice commands are all free, and the free app is supported by ads. WiMouse Pro is an optional in-app purchase (monthly, yearly or lifetime) that adds Screen View, the full 161-macro catalogue, instant switching between up to three connected computers, and the home-screen and lock-screen Quick Controls — and removes the ads.
The app has ten tabs. Touch is the trackpad, Keys the keyboard, and Macros your shortcut deck. Screen mirrors your desktop, Media handles playback, volume and system commands like lock and sleep, and Present drives your slides with a laser pointer. Apps launches desktop programs, Browser controls your web browser, and Transfer moves files and clipboard text.

Yes. The Present tab moves to the next or previous slide, starts the show from the beginning or from the current slide, and exits — using the real PowerPoint and Keynote shortcuts, so it works with whatever you already present in. It also draws a laser pointer dot on the desktop itself, and on a multi-monitor setup you can pick which display it appears on. Hold the pointer button and aim with the phone to move it by wrist.
Yes — turn on Motion Pointer under Settings → Air Mouse. Hold the aim button and rotate your wrist, and the cursor follows where you point, with pointer acceleration so you get precision up close and reach across a large screen. It is built for controlling a TV or a projector from the back of the room. Devices without a gyroscope fall back to the touchpad.
Yes. Save as many computers as you like and a strip of device chips appears at the top of the app; tap one to move every control to that machine. On the free app one connection stays open at a time, so switching reconnects. WiMouse Pro keeps up to three sessions warm in the background, so switching is instant — no reconnect, no handshake and no password prompt.
With WiMouse Pro, yes. Quick Controls puts a home-screen widget on your phone with previous, play/pause, next, volume down, mute, volume up and a lock-desktop button, and adds playback controls to your lock screen while a session is connected. Both can be turned off under Settings → Quick Controls.
Yes, when your desktop app reports them. The touchpad shows a chip for each display so you can send the cursor to a specific monitor, the presentation remote lets you choose which screen the laser pointer appears on, and Screen View lets you pick which monitor you are watching.

The free app shows a banner ad, served by Google AdMob. WiMouse Pro removes it the moment the purchase completes. If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland you are asked for consent before any personalized ads are shown, and you can reopen that choice at any time from Settings → Privacy → Ad privacy settings.
